The common triggers for early recalibration are all events that move metal. Foundation settlement changes the bottom profile and the effective reference height. Shell repairs, plate replacement, or re-welding change the internal geometry. Modifications to a floating or internal roof change the displacement that the table corrects for, and adding or removing internal deadwood such as heating coils or mixers shifts the contained volume at a given height.
