The Merobix Engineering Team

The guides and technical pages on this site are produced by the Merobix Engineering Team - practicing controls and SCADA engineers who design, program, and support industrial monitoring systems as their day-to-day work. Our content draws on that hands-on engineering practice rather than on outsourced copywriting.

Why We Publish Under a Team Byline

Individual contributor identities, employers, project names, and other operational details may be withheld for employment and confidentiality reasons. Industrial automation work routinely involves confidentiality obligations to employers and clients, and we take those obligations seriously. A team byline is not a way to avoid accountability: every piece we publish is subject to this editorial policy, and errors are corrected under our sourcing and corrections process regardless of who drafted the page.

Accuracy Standards & Sourcing

Where a page makes a claim about a standard, protocol, or product capability, we aim to check it against official documentation - standards bodies and vendor sources first - and we correct errors when they are reported. Our preferred sources are listed on the Sourcing & Corrections page. Where a page has had a documented technical review, that review is recorded; pages held to these sourcing standards without a recorded individual review should not be read as formally certified.

Updates & Dates

Published pages are revisited as products, standards, and best practices evolve. Publication and last-modified dates on our pages reflect substantive updates to the content - not cosmetic tweaks. When we materially revise a page, we update its modified date.

Synthetic or Anonymized Data Only

Product screenshots, dashboard examples, and demo environments shown on this site use synthetic or anonymized data. We do not publish real customer operational data, site names, tag values, or telemetry. Any values, locations, or asset names visible in our materials are illustrative and do not describe an actual customer operation.

Five Kinds of Statements

Content on this site mixes several kinds of statements, and we hold each to a different standard of evidence:

• Public standards-based facts - statements about what IEC 62443, NIST publications, SOC 2, regulations, or protocols require. We aim to support these with citations to the official document.
• Merobix product claims - statements about what the Merobix platform does. These describe the platform as built; where a capability is planned rather than shipped, we say so explicitly (see the roadmap section of our security page).
• Engineering judgment - recommendations and trade-off assessments drawn from practice, presented with words like "we recommend," "in our experience," or "typically." These are informed opinions, not established facts.
• Hypothetical examples - illustrative scenarios ("a pumper covering 60 wells…") used to explain a concept. They describe no real customer or site.
• Synthetic demonstrations - screenshots and demo environments, which may use synthetic or anonymized data as described below.

If any page blurs these lines, that is an error - report it through our sourcing and corrections process. We hold our pages to the same standard of access: see our accessibility statement for how the site is built to be usable by everyone.

No Paid Placements

We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or other compensation in exchange for placement, rankings, reviews, or coverage in our content. No vendor appears in a Merobix comparison or guide because they paid to be there.

We Sell Merobix - And We Say So

Merobix is a commercial SCADA platform, and this website exists in part to market it. Where our content compares Merobix to other products, that commercial interest is inherent and disclosed by context: this is our site, and Merobix is our product. We keep the line clear by grounding comparisons in verifiable facts rather than paid or fabricated endorsements.

Factual Comparisons

Comparison content aims to be factual and grounded in publicly available documentation - vendor product pages, published pricing, official manuals, and standards documents. Competitor capabilities change over time, and we do not claim our comparisons are exhaustive or permanently current.

Corrected on Notice
